Very cool work, Drachr, very cool. One thing that looks a little out is there's this thing that looks like a spinning top on the left hand edge of the pic about half way up - the way the lighting falls on it makes it look like its not a part of the building behind it in the image and is just floating there (if it is just floating there, then impressive effect). It's just something that caught my eye. Overall though, hey, looking very smooth :)

That sky blends in well with the rest of the scene. After the competition is over, I've got a feeling scifi.com may drop you a line. :^)

draculaz posted Tue, 07 December 2004 at 9:25 AM

the windows were made with the rochr technique, rendered on the ambience level, with no lights in the scene. so you render the scene is rendered without city lights, just the normal lighting from the bryce lights, and then the light textures are rendered without those. postwork them in :) drac

Great work - looks I've got a whole lot to learn before I get this far...

Did he post this technique and I missed it? I am confused (as usual). I will dig through the post muddle and look I guess. Cool work again dracz
