Is there a way to turn that off? Vue 5 just ate a scene I've been working on for a while for a xmas card. It's happened before. I get the mememory message a lot, so save often along the way. But when it does crash it tries to save a copy... fails... then loses the scene. I suppose I could save it twice with different names, that way I'd always have one, but that's a pain. I'm really finding a memory drain, but I'm using poser 5 a lot. Might have to switch back to 4. I have a p4 266 1gig of ram.

Not that I know of...what's bad is the .bak gets corrupted as well :(. I save after every couple changes that I make(that are permanent). Today I'm up Xmas #13, yes I save 2x o.O.

Have you gotten the latest update??? I actually worked in Vue today for 8+ hours with no crashes :), which for me is a first! That said I'm only at 715K polys but out 402 objects 80% are P5 imports. In a post below you'll see where I'm at in the scene that I'm working on...same as you, Xmas card.

Yeah I did get the beta update, hoping it would help with p5. I still have my problems. Oh well, maybe it's a sign to come up with a better one. ~G~ but I hope they fix it. I will start saving twice. While on the subject of what I want... I'm compiling a list #1 Memory problem 2 I'd like to be able to set my own default directories to save things to. 3 When I open objects/materials/etc I'd like the subdirectores to be closed so the list isn't so long. I'd also like to be able to drag and drop from one folder to another to keep things neat. Okay, well one can dream ~s~
