OK. Well some of you may already know this, but as I've never read anything on this I'm betting you don't and I'm gonna try to make some sort of TUT.
This all stems from an accidental mouse click and the earlier posts about GREEBLES and NURNIES (SS)
I noticed whil messing around with the DEEP TEXTURE EDITOR (DTE) that there seemed to be a lot of nice DTs that would be great for making hight maps and Greebles. But how to get at them.
Now while I was messing about I accidently clicked on the lower-middle square of the DTE screen. To my amazment the Texture popped up FULL-SCREEN!!!!
(Actually not the whole thing but most of it anyway.)
So, suddenly I had a large version on screen and all I had to do was screen-grab and I would have myself a half-decent hight-map to use in making greebles.
All you need for this to work is Photoshop/PSP7 or somesuch and Bryce and away we go.
Please be patient with me and DON'T interupt!
1: Load up Bryce (obviously but in case Drac's reading this...)
2: Drop in a prim and apply a nice complicated 'Technical' looking .mat
3: hit the 'M' to get into the Mat Lab
4: Look for the button I've labelled '1' to get to the DTE.
