Making some custom clothing for a poser character, in 3ds max (6) and every time i export the model and import it into poser, it screws up badly... in 3ds it looks perfect (well almost, nothings perfect) but the vertex positions screw up and the edges of the model look uneven... anyone have any idea's why this does this? and any way to fix it? i've gone through all the different export settings in max, and import settings in poser, but nothing helps it

You could try giving the mesh some thickness. Dunno what else could cause it. Maybe someone else has a better answer.

poser is smoothing the geometry, giving it funny edges. split your vertices, or give it some thickness, then a slitght bevel on the edges. should help.
