Hey guys ... at work and don't have a lot of time but wanted to get this off my chest. I dunno if you guys remember, but about a year ago I was all giddy about a new monitor that was going to come out from Mitsubishi. It was a 22" CRT that didn't use sRGB, it was an AdobeRGB monitor. Drool factor for me was off the scale. Anyway, time went on and the monitor didn't appear and I forgot about it. Today, I happened to think about it and did a search and found it was finally out. Wooohoooo!! Then I saw the price (see above link). Are you kidding me??!!! For a monitor??!!!! Somebody needs to smack these guys upside the head and back into reality. -=>Donald

Sony has a 20' for $3980. Size matters? The included link is to a long article that compares technologies.LostPatrol posted Wed, 15 December 2004 at 10:54 AM
OMG that is almost as insane as I am. Still some people will buy one.

What ticks me off is that it's the perfect printer for me. Talk about a color managed experience. An AdobeRGB monitor to go with my Canon EOS 10D (which can create AdobeRGB images) and my AdobeRGB HP printer. :/ Oh well .... buttheads. -=>Donald

Well Donald it is at present a president in displays. Not so long ago a DSLR was 4k so I'm sure your dream monitor will be affordable in time. Just thought I would try to make a positive from a negative LP

I don't get the big suprise..... You want a TV, you can go out and buy a 22" for easily less than 200. You want a 40" flatscreen TV you're looking at silly money. You wanna car? Buy a family runabout new for 7000 - or a Ferrari for 100,000+ Want a watch? They sell them on the market for 1. The jewellers can sell you a Rolex you'd have to sell that Ferrari for....... Like anything else, if you've got the money and you want the goods, no problem. To us mere mortals? Damn, that's an expensive monitor! If I win the lottery tomorrow? I'll send a picture of it in my new house with the Ferrari showing through the window ;-) (",)

Hey man! What's up?! Gee .. I appreciate that. Hey, tell you what, how about you also send me your address when you do so I can forward it to Tedzo. He tells me his Brick Shopping Techniques (tm) can get me one of anything as long as he can see a real one in person. Don't know how it works, but I believe him. :) -=>Donald
