Hi all, I have recently bought Poser 5 and i have being so willing to learn how to use it so last night i had a go and i have a few problems: Why is it so difficult to add a texture? Why is it that when i add textures the eyelashes and eyebrows are just dots and not as they should be? thats it for now i think. I would really appreciate some help and advice. Kelly

It isn't difficult to apply a texture if the creator has supplied a MAT pose to do the job. Otherwise, yes, it's a pain in the arse at times. Eyelashes show as dots to indicate the material is transparent. They show correctly when rendered.

...the second commandment for new Poser users is to do a search in this forum for "Geep". He has been kind enough to create a large body of free tutorials that are easy to follow. The first commandment for new Poser users is, hmmm. I forget... ;)

The 1st commandment is: Save. Save NOW! Save again. Save often. Save always. Save whenever you change anything. Save whenever you are abouit to change something. Save even if you only think you might have changed something. Did I mention "Save"??? (And always under a different name; you can always delete the old saves once you've got the scene working)... Cheers, Diolma

I guess the third commandment is BACKUP! And DO NOT EVER use rewriteable CDs or DVDs they are NOT secure and you will lose your data.

And don't forget your camera, pose, and UI dots. They'll save you a lot of saving and are faster too.
