How can I get a sky with clouds that AREN'T blazing orange at the horizon, when the moon is showing on the horizon? I've tried disabling the sun, coloring the clouds anything that's not orange, etc. I assume Bryce is doing this because it automatically creates sunset color when the sun is at the horizon, and they set the sun opposite to the moon -- so, it would color the clouds at the horizon opposite the sun red or orange. Problem is, anyone who has ever looked out their window knows that very often, when the moon is visible near the horizon at night, there can be clouds that are grayish blue or grayish green, NOT orange! Any ideas/experience on this? I hoped Bryce 4 would fix this limitation, but apparently not.... Thanks for any help on this, NJ

Since youve been on EVERY board with this post, Im gonna answer here too, because it is a very interesting observation... its a cumulus cloud thing...and even with everything set to gray or turned off, they were still orange/red until I removed them... good luck BTillusory posted Sun, 24 December 2000 at 5:29 PM
Thanks, BT! I'm so glad someone out there found a work-around for this. But they really SHOULD fix this error, because you should be able to get cumulous clouds that aren't orange, while the moon is at the horizon -- especially with the sun turned off! Thanks again! Nancy

you could make some clouds out of spheres to substitute for the error... I personally like them better anyhow... glad I could help BT

Thanks for the suggestion -- sounds like a good idea! I'll have to learn how to do that -- just got Bryce 4, and I'm pretty new to Bryce in general. You've been a real help on this -- thanks ! Nancy
