Paul Hafeli's post got me thinking, his face photo sourse face was on a deformed flat mesh and gives 15 degrees viable camera placement... the problem with maping photo source faces on Poser figures is photos are planear and Poser figures are UV mapped, so rather than map onto the figure which has destictive mesh geometry anyway, or a essentially flat surface as Paul has, how about making a mask with smoothed out features that is mape to a planear texture template. Here it is, looks good approximately 180 degrees around and edge of mask could easily be smudged out in post. The mask looks a little funky at absolute head on and profile but good all inbtween despite the source on photo not being dead on. The joy was importing an oval selection of the face, dropping it on the template and pulling it up and across to fit the map, no carefull eye or mouth alignment need. Problem is my mask nose is to depressed and the mask isn't totally symetric. Maybe one of you could do better, I'ld love a better mask. Man the joy of that simple template, the rezolts are vivid if not exactly life like, I think the eyes work particulary well. As I said, the source image was a little screwy. What do ya think? BTW body texture coutesy John on the Run and the crew cut is a skullcap I'm working on.

It looks pretty good. Others have tried this in the past, but I think that was in the Pre-UVmapper days.
