I know I can save the materials with highlight changes, but is it possible to leave the textures alone but just do a bulk change of the highlights? Love esther
I aim to update it about once a month. Oh, and it's free!

Not that I'm aware of, sorry, this has come up before, since the highlight settings are unique to each material there's no way to globabally edit ALL of the highlight settings at once.

what about just copying and pasting the highlight onto each material part -is that possible? love es

You can copy the function that creates the highlight, or the color of the highlight, but actually copying the settings for just the highlight won't work since they use sliders for those. It's like trying to copy a function that you've changed the scales on, you can copy it and paste it in but you still have to manually change the scales since they aren't linked directly to the function being copied. I'll do some quick tests if I have time today and let you know if I find anything different.

Hi Esther, One possible way to approach this is from the Poser angle- Python Wizard Ockham may very likely have a Python script that does this- so try that, and then import V3 into Vue! (Still hoping that E-on will eventually release Python as a module for Vue 5- then we could get Ockham to write, or transfer, his great Python scripts over to Vue...) Love, Veritas

Hi, yes I didn't think of a python script. Maybe we should get ockham interested in vue. we could all get together and buy him a free copy. then he'll probably write some really nice scripts for us. Love esther

Actually, one way to do this is export the Poser figure as an .obj file, run it through Grouper so that all the skin material is one mesh, and then texture that in Vue all in one go. The many material zones of some recent Poser figures are a complete nuisance. Some of the clothing figures are worse than V3/M3.
