I'm having great problems trying to import anything from my Poser 5 into the new Bryce 5.. does anyone know of a tutorial for this or have any suggestions that will help me. Is it a MAC vs PC thing or something else?

Zoren, although I haven't yet had a chance to give this a try since purchasing my new G5 2.5ghz dual desktop computer, nor have I tried DAZ's turbo importer, I'm wondering about something. On my G4 Titanium, I always have to create a folder (usually on my desktop), export the Poser .obj to this folder as well as every single material used (figure, clothing, hair, etc.) or B5 will up and quit just before completing the import. If you are not using this method, perhaps it will be worth a try?
Apologies in advance that I haven't yet had a chance to try it myself or be able to currently offer more help. Perhaps someone else here will be able to.
Arry EDITED to add: cross posting, lol. He is right, anything dynamic will not import into B5.

zoran, out of curiosity, what exactly are you trying to import into B5? I just did a test run and had no problem importing a V3 figure with hair from P5 into B5. When exporting your figure from Poser 5, make sure that you have the following checked in your export box: - include body part names - include figure names - weld bodypart seamsOnce your figure(s) are imported into B5, you still have some work to do. Supposedly DAZ's Bryce Turbo importer eases this import, but you have to use it after exporting from Poser to Daz Studio (currently free at DAZ's site as it's in beta). then use the turbo import to get it into Bryce. From what I've read, it does import the most of the texture maps correctly, but I still just export from P5 directly to B5. This does entail some work. Depending on the complexity of the figure(s) you have imported, you'll have some textures to correct (clothing, lashes, hair, eye corneas, etc.) and transparencies to blend via Bryce's mat lab.
I'm attaching a link to Robin Wood's tutorial on exporting from Poser to Bryce. Although written for P4 and B4, you can still use most of the techniques, especially once in B5.
Otherwise, you can go to DAZ's BryceTalk forum and look for the link to download their free turbo importer. You'll also need to download their Daz Studio and their should be a link in their Poser forums.
Hang in there. It's not as complicated as you think, just time consuming. But as with all applications, it does get easier with practice, I hope this helps!
