Hello, I don't model, but I like to combine different props and figures to create things to my liking. Because I haven't really found any interior sets that I'm looking for, I've decided I'm going to try to make them myself. Here are the sets I need: Hospital (Most important) School Prison (Least important) I've downloaded as much as possible with these, including small rooms and a bunch of props. Basically what I need the most is some good textures, as realistic as possible, of floors, ceilings, etc. I'm a bump map fanatic so bump maps with these would be excellent. Any help with this stuff would be greatly appreciated. I have so far gathered a ton of what I need, but haven't been able to find actual interiors of some sets, so I'm going to give it a go myself. Thanks for any help!

Peacer: You prolly have my hospital props from Free Stuffage here already.

But, I also have some bits an pieces left over from a hospital set I was working on but abandoned 'cos I lost confidence in it.

If theres anything that might be useful to you let me know.

Some shots of it follow:

Fls13: Thanks for the link, it was a great help and had some excellent textures. Ziggie: Hey could ya lend me those pieces? Those looks great, and would save me a LOT of time!

ziggie posted Mon, 20 December 2004 at 1:35 AM

I will only lend them to you if you promise to give them back after you have used them ;-) Prolly take a day or 2 to dig them outta my HD's and I am in a mad rush to get a pic done for a comp at the moment. But... send me an addie where I can send to and I will do what I can as soon as I can. ziggie

Cool, sounds good. Do you think you could upload the files to a file site for easy download (which would be the quickest route)?

Fantastic work! Looks great.

ziggie posted Mon, 20 December 2004 at 5:24 AM

You really think so..? I abandoned it 'cos my heart wasn't in it. Didn't look or feel right to me. But then... I am my own worst critic LOL ziggie

Great work ziggie! I could really use the counter with zink and the tiled wall. A download link would be perfect. If you need space to place them IM me. Got lots of bandwidth at the moment. :o)

it's sad that this was abandoned for sure, it was really looking great

ronstuff posted Mon, 20 December 2004 at 12:38 PM

ziggie - the rooms look very promising to me - I'd love to get them too and maybe I can help you finish them up. I have a huge texture collection and quite a bit of hospital experience too, so maybe together we could come up with something to your liking. I just hope you don't abandon it altogether because the rooms would go great with your other props.

Ziggie, I can't say I've had bad experiences in hospitals, but those pics look enough like the real thing to be disconcerting. Only thing is, they're too tidy. I remember shelves under those windows looking onto the corridor, with assorted clutter. A "sharps" box, for one thing.

These do look great.

Ziggie, I'm sorry you are lacking confidence because your hospital is terrific!

wheatpenny posted Mon, 20 December 2004 at 3:28 PM Site Admin

Maybe thus thread will give you the confidence boost you need. Also that Elfridge store you're building is really nice too. I think you should go ahead and finish both projects...

Looking really impressive. . . Some misc medical equipment, wear-marks on the floor, medical waste and linen disposal bins, smattering of clutter and debris, perhaps a nurses station, and it's perfect!

Peacer posted Mon, 20 December 2004 at 4:32 PM

Leather-Guy: That's exactly what I plan on doing to it. Ever hear of the video game series called Silent Hill? I'm making a short film, completely CG, based off the premise of SH, so a hospital is very important... I just need it to be old and decrepit, followed by nightmarish and disturbing.

ziggie --

Those scenes look fantastic. I'd buy that set in a minute, if you ever offered it for sale.

Please, reconsider! I'd like to see this one on the market.

Thanks for the positive comments peeps. Maybe... one day I will resurrect the hospital project and finish it off properly. Aureeanna hit the nail on the head. I am totally lacking in self confidence... and if I am not confident in my own stuff, I can't expect other people to be. I was/am/maybe/who knows hoping for a boost with my Elfridges model. Someone expressed interest in it and I have submitted it to them for their appraisal. I haven't heard anything yet... not really surprising at this time of year. I left it a bit late really and if it dosn't pass first time round.. which I doubt it will... it won't stand a chance of getting released before Christmas. And... after Christmas... it will be dead in the water :-( Oh well... another addition to my freebies ROFLMAO

The following has swaths (flooring, carpeting, etc) which are used in the healthcare industry. http://www.flooring-solutions.com/products.htm# I too would purchase this product if offered. Please reconsider.
