I wonder if anyone can answer a question for me. I treated myself to an xmas present and now have a new camera. The old one shot images that were 1200x1600 and when opened in PSP showed a res. of 300dpi. The new one shoots images that are 2304 x 3072 but the res. shows as 180dpi. If i change the res in PSP to 300dpi which is what I thought was required for printing the image size grows to 3840 x 5120. ( I was thinking it would get smaller ). I have checked res. on the camera settings and it is set to 'fine' which is the highest setting apart from 'super fine', there are a couple of lower settings. I thought I had to have at least 300dpi to get good prints, so will my images at 180dpi be of a lesser quality? If that is so does anyone know how I get 300dpi shots ? These are all JPEG files downloaded from camera. It does do RAW files but I havn't got a clue about those, all sounds bit advanced till I learn how to use the camera. I have read in PSP manual it does work on RAW files from this camera but I would rather save that learning curve for a later date. Thanks for any help :) Richard.
