I've seen some pretty good props, and I don't really know how they are made. The only programs I really have are lightwave 5.5 and 6.0 (well that and poser). I'm ok at lightwave, and I've learned a lot, and making things is getting eaiser. Any way my questions stands, can I import lightwave objects into poser? If so how? Program suggestions? Greeg72

Doesn't your manual talk about things like that?

My dad gave me the program from someone else at his work, but he couldn't find the manual for me. He works in the computer department, so he can get me almost any program I need for my game. Is it at all posible to buy the book at a store or something? Do you even know if it talks about lightwave stuff? I'd like to make stuff in lightwave seeing as I already know how to use it, I'd rather not have to learn yet another program. Greeg72

Well, I found several GREAT books on Lightwave at B Dalton as well as Walden Books. I Lightwave 5.6 Applied and it is awesome. As far as props from Lightwave to Poser, Export the file in something like OBJ format and then in poser you can play with it more and do whatever you wanted to. A good book for poser, depending on version, is the Poser 4 Handbook.

I wrote a utility GETLWTEX which can translate Lightwave .LWO files into .OBJ + .MTL format complete with texture mapping. It is in the Poser Free Stuff.

Yea, I downloaded that program last night, I haven't tried it out yet though. I don't really need a book on lightwave, I already know enough to get by. I'm just trying to learn poser now. Thank you for you help. Greeg72
