ok, don't want to start an argument i just want to understand something. i was looking around at the animations entries and a noticed at least 2 animations which are larger than 400x400 (quote:" Animation Dimensions: no larger than 400 (width) x 400 (height) pixels. Entries exceeding these size and time specifications, or use other file formats, or that the Renderosity Judging Panel cannot open or play, using standard players, will be disqualified. ") anyway i hope that i don't make new enemies witht his post...but i am a little fustrated since i had to compress my sound to fit the file size and i realized how bad i compressed it (which is my own fault - but still that dosen't stop me to be fustrated- lol) so i think my questions are : did they made another entry with the requested size? ( and i am still seing the old stuff??) will those clips that do not meet the requirements going to be disqualified? just curious to know .... thank you.

Dear insomnium78, The entries must be the specified size. Since I didn't see any in the wrong size come through, please send me the info. via IM and I'll have a look into it. We want a level playing field for everyone, and that means everybody follows the same rules. Thanks, Lillian

i wrote you 2 IMs not sure if i sent the first one tho....hmmm anyway i am sure the judges will notice everything that is wrong when the time comes.... on the other hand is kinda silly for them not to check the rules and lose just because of some pixels....

Dear insomnium78, Thank you for the information and noticing the discrepancy in size. Apparently my player was playing both of these animations at 50% size. Since this was my error, I allow the animations to be judged as they are. I cannot request both artists to resize and resubmit at this late hour, it would be rather pointless and there is not enough time. If I had caught it earlier I am certain both artists would have sent resized animations. Out of fairness, the entries will be allowed. You would be surprised at the large number of contest entries that are missing thumbnails, have the wrong sized thumbnails, or wrong sized image. Whenever possible, we help artists fix the problem so that everyone that wants to participate can. We will be more careful to watch for this problem in the future. I really appreciate you bringing it to my attention. I trust you will understand and support my decision in this particular situation. Best wishes, Lillian

i totally agree with you Lillian, this is how it is fair...like i allready said it it would have been silly...
but i just had to point it....heheh
no serious now i totally understand what you mean and if i would have been in their place i would have gonne crazy just because i went over couple of pixels and nobody told me before.....
Best of luck to all ......

Just a little follow up note. The 2 animations have been updated to the correct size. The artists were able to get them resized and sent to me right away, which was wonderful. So, everything is all good. Best wishes, Lillian
