I also have a graphire3 and I love it. I've never tried one of the others but I imagine there must be some improvement for the extra money. You might be better asking in the photoshop forum.

I've got an earlier Graphire that I just love. I have arthritis and that makes holding the stylus a bit tricky when the hands and wrists go numb, but aside from that, it's a real joy...I just wish I had more time to learn the subtleties and nuances of it such as how the pressure=depth thingie works.

The intuos line is about twice as sensitive at the graphire line. Most people are fine with graphire tablets, would never miss the difference between the two levels, others want the highest level of control that they can get, and are willing to pay twice as much to get that. the big question is, for the fair sized difference in cost is the difference worth your money? I will tell you that I have tried both and went for the intuos, but I would have been happy with the graphire too. Wacom doesnt make a bad tablet that I know of.

I bought a Intutios 3 right after it came out a couple of months ago. My choice was made after consulting different groups with pro graphic artists, (incl. ROS) I also contacted a pro graphic studio that sells all wacoms pens, showed up in there reception and they was very helpfull. That is the reason for my choice. Takes a little time to get use to, but already after the first try, I realised there is things I can do with the pen that I havn't been able to do before.
