Well... for this movie I'm working on... I hate to admit it but I may not use Lightwave for rendering after all. My Lightwave 8 seems to have problems with the high-rez Daz characters, especially if they're wearing clothing. How does Vue (especially Vue 5) handle these characters? Any help would be appreciated. ren

as far as my experience goes v5 handles daz characters realy well, nothing to complain about from my point of view. and infinite is tempting me 2 :) so much i know ill pick it up unless something goes realy wrong with it.

Love vue 5 and I use V3 all the time. Working good for me.

As much as I love LW for modeling, you basically have to struggle to make the poser characters work. I don't have the time to figh the program with every frame. Unfortunately, I'm not getting the sort of render I want from V4. Hopefully Vue 5 Infinite will have sharper renders. I tried out V5 but you can't import models there, so it's hard to tell...

I'm not sure what you mean by V5 not being able to import models, the only thing I can think of is you're probably looking in the wrong spot, they moved the pull down for loading and importing objects from the objects pulldown to the file pulldown. V5 absolutely imports models.

What is Vue 5 Infinite ? Is it a modeling tool ? How is it different from Vue Esprit or Vue Esprit Pro ?

Vue 5 Infinite is essentially the new version of Vue Pro, with a lot of (unannounced yet) new features.

Hot damn, you're right. I can import objects into V5 demo. That's amazing. It loads so much faster that v4 too..
