I don't know why, but when I Alt-click in Photoshop 7 to select a color, it pulls up the color picker but selects it for the background color. Previously, the last thousand or so times I've used Photoshop, it would click for the foreground color? Am I delusional, or can I fix this, or something...? (dumb da dumb da dumb...)

Are you talking about using the "eyedropper tool"???

I always thought it was "click" for foreground and "alt-click" for background...

BTW, there aren't any dumb questions ( except to ask where you can get Photoshop for free !)

No, I'm talking about using any tool BUT the eyedropper tool... My previous version was version 5.0, if that means anything. The eyedropper seems to work just fine...

Mmmm. I can't replicate it. I always get the foreground color changing (I can't change the background one with other tools though...) Dumb answer then...: buy a new computer, this one is broken.

(laughs!) Aye, I have no idea what I did... I checked my manuals, and the online help, but alas... I might have to email Adobe... (cringes)

Make sure you have the foreground and not the background swatch active in the Colour palette (top version, not bottom version)

Well, THAT happened to me... But that would, like, be REALLY dumb, wouldn't it? ;-)

Thank you Rhaseltine! That should do the trick... I knew it was something ridiculous...
