Hey, Im looking for a decent way to find out how to make a Suede texture. My inspiration piece is the Concord Pathfinder uniforms at DAZ. If anyone can point me to either a base texture, or a tutorial on how to make a suede texture, i would greatly appreciate it.

Here's a basic suede pattern that I desaturated in photoshop and then added a new layer and used the paint bucket tool with a color and changed the layer from normal to overlay.

Be sure and check here http://studio.adobe.com/ . They have all sorts of free or shared textures, actions and tutorials.

A combination of Eye Candy's filters does a decent job of replicating suede. You have to experiment though. The advantage is it makes them into seamless tiles in the process. :)
