As it MAY be known, Alan Rickman (Professor Snape/Sheriff of Nothingham/Hans Gruber/ loads of other roles...) is visiting Denmark on April 2nd for a large Hans Christian Andersen event (in celebration of Andersen's 200 birthday) soooo...
In case there's anyone else as obsessed with the man (Rickman, not Andersen) as me, let me know. I'm trying to get tickets for the event and.. the more, the merrier...
So anyone interested, pm me or email me on rickmaniac @ trekkiegrrrl.dk (without the spaces) Uhm.. to keep it slightly on topic: Yes, I've made a Professor Snape morph for Poser.

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA

The guy who stole the show from Kevin Costner in 'Robin Hood - Prince of Thieves'. He was the best of a fine cast (apart from Kevin who is still a naff actor - watch Waterworld to see another truly wooden performance. Alan can ham it up with the best of them if the script calls for it, and his appearance in a film is always a highlight - he makes a good villain, hero or romantic lead. A truly versatile actor.

He was great in "Dogma" as the Voice of God, also. I think he's a very underrated actor.

Shadowdancer, let me HUG you! Those could have been my words GG Pakled, did your friend suggest he's gay? I think not, he's been living with the same woman (Rima Horton, and yes I have multiple plans of replacing her petty existance with my own mad laugh) for almost 30 years now. sigh Just because they're not married.... But as always, I like your thorough listing :o) He was also Rasputin (as Kalypso mentioned) and Mesmer in the movie of that name. And the evil ranch-owner Elliott Marston in Quigley Down Under. And Phil Allen in Blow Dry. And Alexander Dane/Dr Lazarus in Galaxy Quest. And David Friedman in Judas Kiss... David Weinberg in Dark Harbor, Ed in January Man... And his best role perhaps, as The Interrogator in Closet Land... blushes and hides

I have seen and enjoyed all three Harry Potter movies (I have not read the books), and from the very first moment, Sneep has been my favourite character. You can sense that he is severe and a bit bitter, a loner, a steppenwolf, but fundamentally honest and living up to his own standard. I never pay attention to actor's names. For me, he is Sneep, and as such he is a perfect actor. The best of the lot. When he appears ion screen, the others fade to greyscale. I hope he gets cloned, and all ye womanfolk get yer own copy! (what was that spell...errr....???)
I have tried prudent planning long enough. From now I'll be mad. (Rumi)

Rickman is really going to have his work cut out for him when they finally geta round to cinematizing the sixth book: 'The Halfblood Prince'. I also like the girl who plays Hermione, and Richard Harris as the first Dumbledore. There are actual sites dedicated to idolizing Snape (Alan Rickman). While I applaud Snape characters based on Mike, I wish someone would do something similar in Dork.

*There are actual sites dedicated to idolizing Snape (Alan Rickman).* Heh... you're telling me? :o) I'm one of His biggest worshippers ;o) Hmm.. I did a Young Snape (not really a Rickman Snape but a more canon!Snape as in the books) with Domus, who is based on Dork. The problem with using Dork is that his face really hasn't got neither morphs nor sufficient polygons for character morphing. You can approximate something but you'll have a hard time getting properly close. I'm not saying it's impossible, but given that I've by now transformed all my Poser male characters to SOME kind of Snape (including Matt and Luke).. I know which ones are possible and which one are more than tricky to make work :o)FREEBIES! | My Gallery | My Store | My FB | Tumblr |
