Reversed normals still render ok so that isn`t the problem.

Post a wireframe image of the mesh, if you can.

Looks like the reflection is good from outside. Is your glass pane a single sided plane, or a very thin box? I would suggest you use a very thin box, then apply Ajax's glass materials which will actually reflect and refract nicely in Poser 5. Shogakusha

Can't you just divide those long vertices, so it looks like the one on the left?

No..I tried and for some reason I am unable to make Handrails in P5..do not know what in the world is going on. 13 Cylinder primitives. After I export then inport HandRail. The whole prop is invisible (Not rendered). So I import again, and I use Flip normals. Still invisible...I checked with Wireframe, and still is. I do not get it.
Is anyone able to make handrails for me. This is easy, but I do not understand why this is happening.
I have the numbers if anyone wants. Still going to work on this.

Actually..its ok..I will have to figure this out. I dunno what happened. But I imported into Wings3d, then export. Then imported in Poser5, and now the rails show. I do not know what happened. But this invisible things is like trying to find a buzzing fly.

Holy guacamole! You mean you modelled this all in Poser???!!! If that's true, I am incredibly impressed! I assumed you were using a 3D modelling program.
ockham posted Wed, 05 January 2005 at 4:29 PM
I agree. Very impressive! Poser's primitives can do a lot if you push them hard enough. Could you show us the wireframe again, just so we can see if Wings3D added "rings" to the cylinders? I'm curious about what actually happened.

Actually..I made the whole PedWay in Wings3D, but the handrails (Primitives) made in Poser. I did make a whole Prop (Airbase Hanger in Poser5), Using primitives. :-) But, I did stay in the Holiday Express last night! (Eating donut with mouth full, and sipping coffee while speaking.)I had to throw one in..got that in my head and will not go away..lol

K..do not have a pic yet. But what I am seeing is. When I import the Obj file in Poser from Exporting from Wings3D. I am able to see the whole Rail setting I did. But soon as I group it, then export, then import again. The rails become invisible.
xantor posted Wed, 05 January 2005 at 8:18 PM
Can`t you just remake the handrails in wings3d? it is quite a simple object to make.
Robo2010 posted Wed, 05 January 2005 at 8:42 PM
Here is my new HandRail in the render. What I did is make it large enough (Cylinder in Wings3d), Cutted into 10, then made the glass for em for support. I have to reset everything (Adjust). I like my new handrails, was worth it. :-)

That's how it is with modelling! You're working at a nice speed, then you run into some tiny detail that consumes 3 hours or 3 days. You might try one of the older (free) versions of Amapi. Amapi is strange, but when you learn how to use it, it's very fast. I made that cylinder with rings in 10 seconds.
