Can anyone tell me the steps to take to create MAT files that are located in the Poses directory? Or if anyone knows a link to a tutorial that would be great alao. Thanks for any help.

You really need a utility to do it. There's MAT Pose Creator, available in the Marketplace here. I believe there are some free utils, too.

Try QuickMAT here in the RMP. Awesome product, makes MAT production idiot-proof. ;)

Here's a tutorial on how to do it with a text editor.Raddar posted Thu, 06 January 2005 at 3:21 PM
Thanks everyone. I looked into all the suggestions and think for the time I am going with the text editor tutorial, although QuickMat sure does look good too. Anyway thanks again for the help.

QuickMat is particularly helpful if you are using P5 and use a lot of skin and other nodes that do not show up until rendered. QuickMat lets you render before creating the thumbnail picture. It is also easier to select individual body parts (like face, eyes, etc.) than in MAT Pose Creator. QuickMat lets you select or deselect body parts while MAT Pose Creator (at least the last free version I used) only lets you delete the unwanted ones. You have to reload the figure to change body parts.
