...but I guess my worst problem is that I have no idea what this kind of desk would be called in english, which is not my native language, lol... I am searching for something like the desk in the picture - a piece of furniture that people stand at to speak to crowds, on which microphones are installed and speech scripts can be laid upon. It should, possibly, look as close as possible to the one shown in this image. Alright - what would such a desk be called in english, and does anyone have any idea where I could find one (either for Poser or in one of the importable object formats, like *.3ds or *.obj? It does not necessarily have to be a freebie, but if it is, I'm double grateful ;-) Best wishes, Sabine

It's called a lecturn... i think there is one in freestuff. Jack

This is a Lectern, also called Podium. Search freestuff for Podium and you'll find one.

Wow, thanks, that was really fast! And I was looking for a 'speaker's desk', which was my best guess on the naming for that item... lol...

Er, does it come with the Marilyn figure? With a ton of morphs in V3, creating a Marilyn Morph is not difficult. There are, however, two items in that particular picture which were a challenge for me: First, the hair, and second, of course, as I'm a girl, that incredible gown. Smiles I have made both, the first by extreme rigging of Kozaburo's Long Hair Evo, and the second by creating a photorealistic texture for The Dress ;-) We also have one, it stand in our Church We too - the church is right across the street. Unfortunately, a) that particular one in our church is a little different (as it's from 1621) and b) I don't have a 3D scanner :-(

That's what I needed it for, by the way. Will have to redo that scene, however - must make new textures for the lectern and the microphones, which look horrible in color. On the other hand, that's my first try on volumnetric lights in Poser - for which I don't find it bad ;-) That's an unedited pure Poser 5 render, by the way...
