This gives a new defination to poser modeling.
This doesn't help fellow blender uses at all. We should be encouraging eachother to stick with blender, not use another app to do modeling, then come back to blender, because that's all this really does. Why would I want to use gmax, when blender is perfectly fine?

first off you have you're right to you're opinion and i can respect that secondly im not saying go out and use and gmax over blender if an individual feel like they wanted to see what max is like gmax is the closest most of us would ever come to it other than down loading the demo of max all i can see gmax good for is two things it's spline modeling mode and uv mapping mode because to be honest blenders uv mapping mode is the biggest pain in the ass. But if i really was trying to unsupportive of blender i "would not" make a post about using gmax id post about something a lott better like oh say rhino which is full feature up to 20 saves but did i ever do that......no? i feel i've been quit supportive of blender i even went out looked up ever tutorial i could find just for blender and posted them all to me gmax is just an extra tool nothing more.In a way it could also be taken in the context that you meant if you use gmax or any other modeler like say wings or animator or what ever is wrong because it's not supporting blender we all have our own opinions and that's what make's us the individual we are we all think differently and see the world in a different light i my self feel why limit you're self to only using one tool? when you can have an array of different tools when you need them so before you go deciding some body is not supporting blender just look at in the way of it's just another tool in an ever expanding set of tools nothing more nothing less.

You'll have to excuse my above post, I'm just tired of all the "Blender vs so and so app is better" discussion that I been reading around the web lately. I thought this was another one of them. I come to the Blender forum to read about Blender, not to read about GMAX, C4D, or Wings 3D, or else I would be in those forums, because it is really annoying, saddening even, when I hear about how Blender just got it's own forum on here, and we're trying to get it's own gallery up, yet when I come in here I see discussion about other 3D programs, and constant whining about Blender. Now do you understand where I'm coming from, when I say we should be encouraging Blender more? I only use alternate tools when it gives me a real significant advantage. When you got one that can do the same things, just with a different style, why bother? It gives me a good feeling when I look at a render and I found out that the creator only used one program to make that render, it shows that they put more effort into it then others, because they were willing to use the one program, instead of taking the easy way out and doing so and so in that program, so and so in this program, and then rendering in that program. But to each his own.

And Blender UV, I haven't used it yet, for you it may be annoying, but I'm willing to bet many others will disagree. And it's sure to improve later on down the road. And spline modeling? People still use that? :D

i used the uv feature and its quite usefull about max i use to work with a cracked copy as i could never pay the real thing and it has many good modeling tools so its good to know i can use gmax as a short cut. My heart is with blender though thats why i sticked to blender and wings in my spaceopera challenge at cgtalk.com its quite ok have a look at what you can achieve at the link
