Hi all ! I am getting crazy with this IPB 1.5. When I click on Source File to load a cr2 file, nothing happens. No new message appears in the "Log" window. It looks like nothing has been loaded. Actually, if I click the Process Option button next, I get the message : "Please load a source file to continue". Has anyone experienced this problem ?

Are you new to the program? Just curious. When you click the button "Source File" a windows dialog box should pop up (mine pops up to the "My Documents" folder). If nothing is happening, you may want to reinstall, or redownload and reinstall. If that doesn't work, you may want to contact the program creator.

Click the File Menu, then Open. Once it's open, the program will work for a bit. Then be sure to select Victoria3 in Link Libraries.

Yes, I'm new to the program. When I click "Source File" a windows dialog box does pop up. Then, I select a cr2 file I have created, I click Open, then nothing happens. I contacted DAZ's Technical Support. They just reminded me the procedure. It looks like it isn't a common problem. I was hopping someone had met the same problem and could tell me what to do.

I just loaded my Source file, and it took awhile, but did load. If you use Dial Cleaner on the figure, it loads faster, but the figure will still be there. So I'm not sure what is the cause of your problem.

This is assuming you're using the same version as me, 1.5 After loading your CR2, there should be something in the Log box (upper left pane) that says: "Retrieving [file path of your CR2]; X lines queued; Done" then "Sorting... Done" On the right, choose the figure the morphs were made for (Victoria3, etc.) and there should be additional lines in the log. Are you saying you're getting absolutely nothing happening in the log area?

Simbad6 posted Mon, 10 January 2005 at 6:55 AM

Absolutely nothing. When I open IPB I have this in the log area : "Reading: D:Program FilesDAZInjection Pose BuilderOptionsStartup.cfg Done" When I try to open a cr2 file, nothing changes. When I click Victoria 3 in the Link Libraries, I get: "Retrieving: D:Program FilesDAZInjection Pose BuilderlibsVictoria3.ill 1229 lines queued Parsing... Done" I don't know what that means but I still can't process.

This is totally confusing. Your last message just indicated the program is working just fine. Yet your first message implied it was not working. Injection Pose Builder is a program that allows you to share characters you've created. Here's the general procedure. We'll use Vicky 3 for an example. 1.) Create your character, and save her to the Character Library. 2.) Run Injection Pose Builder, and load your custom character. Wait for the message that says "Done." 3.) Since your character is based on Victoria 3, you want to choose Victoria3 from the Link Libraries. 4.) Under Options, you'll probably want to select INJ & REM Poses. This allows people to create the character, and then put it back to normal. 5.) Click the Process Options button, and wait for the program to finish. You'll see all the words in the Output Source box. 6.) When you're done, click the Save As button, and save the resulting files into your Pose Library.

Did you apply the IPB Prep Pose to your CR2? This is a VERY IMPORTANT STEP. Most the DAZ figures have one somewhere, off the top of my head I can not remember where you find it. But you really want to do this. If I remeber correctly you can create one if you can not find it.

Bobbie_Boucher posted Mon, 10 January 2005 at 12:46 PM

Actually, I recently did a little looking, and the only IPB Prep Pose I found was for Michael 3. In fact, I reinstalled some of my "Version 3" characters in a temporary folder, just in case I'd missed the IPB Prep poses somewhere. Nope, not there. OK, we're not lost. Injection Pose Builder 1.5 has a tool to create those IPB Prep poses.

Simbad6 posted Mon, 10 January 2005 at 1:11 PM

That's right Evilded777. I red that in a tutorial on DAZ's. I thought this was optional to reduce processing time. But I don't know where to find these REM pose IPB Prep. Perhaps I should reinstall V3. To answer Bobbie, my problem is on step 5 of your procedure. When I click the Process Option button I am asked to load a source file, while I have already done it on step 2. I'll check for those REM pose.

evilded777 posted Mon, 10 January 2005 at 1:18 PM

I promise to check when I get home... I thought IPB loaded some of those Poses when I installed it, but I could be wrong. I know I had HUGE troubles building some Poses for David until I 1) updated IPB and 2) created an IPB Prep Pose for him. I think I had a similar problem tp the one you are suggesting Simbad6, but I do not remember exactly. And i would say that the IPB Prep pose is NOT optional. Reduce processing time is not the word. SLASH Processing time is more like it.

Hi, I've not yet installed the latest update for the Young Teens but with my last installation, the prep poses were not installed into Poser's runtime. If you open explorer, go to the program directory and find the IPB folder, you will find a runtime directory somewhere in there with the various poses. Philebus

Simbad6 posted Mon, 10 January 2005 at 2:42 PM

I finally found the IPB prep. They were located in the Support Files folder of IPB. They don't install automatically into PoserRuntime. You have to move them manually to RuntimeLibrariesDAZ and RuntimeLibrariesPose. I applied it to a V3 character I created. I suppose it does remove the Morph Delta's although I don't know how to check it. But I'm not sure it's the point because when I try to load it in IPB, I still get the "Please load a source file to continue" message when I hit Process Options.

Bobbie_Boucher posted Mon, 10 January 2005 at 3:29 PM

Heck, I wish the IPB docs were written correctly. It said the IPB poses should be in existing pose sets, but they weren't. Then they have an IPB prep tool, but it's not needed because the danged things are hidden?! Geesh.

evilded777 posted Mon, 10 January 2005 at 7:45 PM

Ok... for so reason I don't have IBP 1.5 anymore. Got a new PC, and it seems to have gotten lostin the shuffle. I'm stuck with 1.3 at the moment, and that is not gonna help anyone. Sorry Simbad6, thought I was gonna be able to help ya.

Simbad6 posted Mon, 10 January 2005 at 9:44 PM

Thank you anyway. These comments were still useful to me. I sent a new request to DAZ.

shaybear posted Fri, 04 February 2005 at 9:33 PM

how long is it supposed to take for the parsing of the cr2 in the first step?? Im having issues making functional inj/rem's for a custom sp3 character in ipb 1.0 bo upgraded to 1.5 and it sits at "parsing" for agessssssssssssssss....

AntoniaTiger posted Sat, 05 February 2005 at 4:00 AM

Some .cr2 files can be pretty big. I don't, myself, think the program is that well explained. Somebody put a lot of work into it, but it wasn't explained for somebody who didn't know the program.

shaybear posted Sat, 05 February 2005 at 8:19 AM

well i let it sit overnight and its STILL at "parsing"
