Pls I need help. Using Poser models in Lightwave is a real pain for me. I exported it, converted it from tris to quads. Apart from the fact that they are heavy, they are a pain to weightmap. I have tried to reduce the mesh, but men I dont seem to be gaining ground. Please, it there a way to reduce the mesh seriously an maitaining quality, uv coordinates and still have nice chracters ?

If you have lightwave 7 or 8 there is a free plugin at the link that can reduce polygons, the instructions are there too.Little_Dragon posted Tue, 11 January 2005 at 9:13 PM
Bear in mind that if you alter the mesh's polycount, any existing morphs for that figure will no longer work.
Greenbriar Studio sells some rigging and weight-mapping tools that may help in importing a figure's rigging directly from Poser.
