Pls I need help. Using Poser models in Lightwave is a real pain for me. I exported it, converted it from tris to quads. Apart from the fact that they are heavy, they are a pain to weightmap. I have tried to reduce the mesh, but men I dont seem to be gaining ground. Please, it there a way to reduce the mesh seriously an maitaining quality, uv coordinates and still have nice chracters ?

If you have lightwave 7 or 8 there is a free plugin at the link that can reduce polygons, the instructions are there too.

Bear in mind that if you alter the mesh's polycount, any existing morphs for that figure will no longer work.

Greenbriar Studio sells some rigging and weight-mapping tools that may help in importing a figure's rigging directly from Poser.
