I have a D-Link DI-624 and I have tried to render wirelessly and now with both computers connected to the router via rj45 cables (directly). And still I am able to set up the network render and get the other computer to show up and have a green dot but as soon as I start the render nothing happens on the other computer. I am about to give up :(

Oh yesssssss oh yessss. I am going to try and contact D-link on this although I am sure they will be worthless. My other router died and it worked fine although it was wired. So I bought this one a while back and this is the first chance I have had to do a network render and bubkiss!

I know this may sound stupid, but, did you upgrade on every machine, if yes, than it's some kind of router problem, I have netgear and everything is fine ! :D

I have a D-Link router and the trick is to open all the necessary ports. Don't know what ports Bryce runs on, I think I remember asking that at one point on the forum here though... drac

I know it sounds daft but try looking through the router log for blocked port attempts, you should see the packets that bryce is trying to send and which port address they are aiming at, then just open that one!
(just out of interest for some reason most products jump onto port 8000 - don't know if bryce does)

Uh smith what the heck? LOL I have linksys. You didn't hit your head in that accident did you? I found the problem and it was my own head injury.
AgentSmith posted Wed, 12 January 2005 at 9:43 PM
No, no head hit, I had a seatbelt bruise to prove that, lol. I was just chiming in for absolutely no good reason, lol. I'm not even wireless, and after working on a wireless system for the 5-6 weeks I was away from home in Nov....I'll NEVER go wireless. NeverNeverNeverNeverNeverNeverNever. It was Butt-Slow, and always cutting out and losing signal. Of course I'm sure there are great wireless systems, but that one has scarred me for life, lol. AS
