Maxpose was discontinued because a newer program is planned by the author to replace it.

"Anyone ever use it (bodystudio)? i hear bodystudio nly import poser animation , how about modifier or controller in max . could i still use it?" I've used it. It will import a PZ3 complete with all textures, including transparancy, dyamic hair and dynamic cloth. It will not import procedural textures from P5. You can modify the geometry once it's in Max using Max modifiers as well.
