I have a site dedicated to Spider-Man and I create many 3d Spidey images for it using poser. The one thing(one major thing) I lack is backgrounds, and I was wondering if there was anywhere I could find some buildings or building textures...(N.Y. style if possible, but ANYTHING else excepted). Thanks

In addition to the suggestion by JeffH, I would also recommend the following: www.baument.com (A few free and many very detailed at a very reasonable cost) www.chemicalstudios.com (I especially love the comicbook store) avalon.viewpoint.com www.poserworld.com (A few very unique building environments built in Canoma) I am sure that there are more but those are the places that readily came to mind.

Burningham has a New York CD collection with a 40's theme including textures of old signs. I have also used Cacheforce's excellent collections of European style buildings. I slapped this together with some stuff from both Cacheforce and Burnihngham as a sample.

Where's the new beetle from?

As I recall, it was on a Cacheforce Cd as was the bus, the street, fireplug, Mercedes and the skyscrapers in the background. I also downloaded some buildings from GeoMetriks.

I do a lot of comic work also, and have been making some custom building textures that I'd like to put out there as soon as I scale them down a bit. They've got masks for the windows for reflections and specularity. This image was rendered in Bryce. I've got about 6 buildings done, all of which map on simple cubes (there are side segments and roof textures as well). They're all pretty big TIF files right now, but I hope to get them scaled down a bit in JPG form in the near future. -Jeff

Those are great! Will you be posting the textures? I'm working on a Godzilla animation, and he need's some good looking buildings like these to play with.
