Has anyone gotten it AND THE TEMPLATE? Have they changed the map layout? (original map had a lot of stretching on the shoulder area) I am CONSIDERING getting the newest version but would like to know what the differences are. It sort of looks like the actual template - map layout was changed to fix the "large stretching spots " areas... BUT I am hesitating because when I finally got the mil horse SR1, and tried to make a template from the obj, it was an unfinished layout... the exe template still works so I am using that.. BUT since the original Big Cat template layout was really stretchy, I would like to find out if the new version comes with a new map template! (either by obj run through in mapper or by an exe furnished by DAZ with the product) As a cat person, I am very tempted... the new version look a lot better, and I might be tempted to convert my wild cat textures to it and add even more morphs! Any PICTURES of the (?) new template and example renders of the changes in the BC shapes would be great.. Got to admit the maps look much better, from the few renders I have seen in the DAZ forum...no head close ups there that I could find, though. Thanks, Lyne Lyne's Creations

I, too, am interested in what the new cats are like. Looking forward to some reviews.

Lyne, if you do get them let me know so I can too :) I'd feel better about it if I knew you would work with them.

I have both versions installed on my system, and can thus load each into UVMapper to check. As far as I can tell, Lyne, the UV-mapping on the Skin material hasn't changed at all. I'm in the middle of a lengthy animation render which is tying up most of my processing cycles, so I can't look further at the moment, but I'll have some templates ready for you in an hour or so. The textures are indeed much improved, however, especially on the lion and tiger faces. Laurie S and LisaB have done some exemplary work.

On closer inspection, the original UV-mapping is completely unchanged. There are, of course, new mesh elements on the figure ... so you have a new map template for the face fur.

I'm labeling the templates now, if you want them.

These should cover everything on the figure except the eyes. Right-click and save to your hard drive.

UV Millennium Big Cat (905KB)

UV MBC Face Fur (346KB)

I neglected to label the whiskers on the first template, but you'll likely puzzle them out. Oh, I should probably mention that these don't include the mane (which is a separate figure), or the transmapped elbow/tail tufts (which are props).

Thanks so much...downloaded them... I am still waiting on a full template version... this is kinda confusing.. I did buy it because I had more vouchers and I ran the obj through my mapper pro..it's a mish mosh of stuff all piled up.. if you move anything, then it has to be a RE MAP which I am trying not to have to do... LaurieS has contacted me, so I will see what's what... I can do a remap and then make the cr2 to call to the new named obj (giving out ONLY the UVS file of course) but as I said.. trying not to have to do that... if I do work with this model at all... I did not like the original layout and thought the new textures looked like the template was changed... So... we shall see.. Thanks for your efforts! DAZ really should have a template download... maybe they will get that set up.
