Can anyone tell me why "sometimes" with Poser 5 when I install some things even with folders checked that the items don't finish up in the folders they should? They finish up in the Poser 5 application folder. With DAZ'S exe files I don't have any trouble and some of the merchant zips are ok.But freebies, some of them are a nightmare, as I have to move them by hand ,objs, characters, poses and textures and create folders for them! arrow1

If you unzip a file it will install to wherever the creator specifies. I would just check the file before unzipping to make sure that the folder names are consistant with your system.

You'll even find this problem with some commercial items, including DAZ stuff. That's why installing to a temporary folder is a great idea.

I can tell you why - some people encode stuff expecting it to point to a separate runtime folder. Check the folder info to see the path. If you are using something like Winzip you can drag stuff to where you want it.
