Shogakusha gave me this information. Scroll past it all to see the Question....... 1. Load the F202 character into your scene. 2. Turn off Inverse Kinematics on both her legs. (Figure > Use Inverse Kinematics) 3. Bring up the Joint Editor & Click 'Zero Figure' to zero out all joint bends. (Windows > Joint Editor) 4. Load the SleeveDress prop. (Make sure it is parented to the hip of the F202 character) (Object > Properties > Set Parent > Hip) 5. Apply the pose you want to the F202 character. 6. Go to the Cloth Room & Click New Simulation. 7. Enter 10 in the Drape Frames. 8. Accept the other defaults & Click OK. 9. Advance the animation frame counter to frame 30. 10. Click Clothify & select SleeveDress-Femme from the list if it is not already selected. 11. Click Clothify button. 12. Click Collide Against. 13. Click Add/Remove button. 14. Mark the checkbox for Figure 1 (This should mark all checkboxes for Figure 1 body parts) 15. Click OK. 16. Set Collision Offset & Collision Depth to ~0.450. 17. Click OK. 18. Click Calculate Simulation. After i hit "Calculate Simulation" The "Draping" is fine but once it gets to "Calculating Dynamics" It will shred the dress to Pieces. I think it's the Vortex pologon Collision thing. Can anyone hear me behind this screen?........I need help. i'm lost.....again. as usual. ok bye.

Does it seem like it might be breaking apart where groups would normally be? If so, try re-importing the OBJ file with "Weld Identical Vertices" checked.

Well thax Artymotion, now all i have to do is fine out where "Weld Identical Vertices" is so i can check it......... Groups would be?........When it gets to the "Calculating Dynamics" part it will rip up the dress, meaning the skin will show through. maybe a breast would be out or something. It just doesn't match the body the way i want it too! It's the right MDP F202 Character.

OK, disregard my first reply, as it seems that is an entirely different problem. I'm not familiar with the MDP F202 character ... is it a free download or something you purchased?

It's in the "Free Stuff Section". in "Posable Clothing". It's brought by "Shogakusha".

Can you show us a picture of the torn dress? It sounds like your dress isn't stopping when it collides with the figure. What are your settign in the "cloth Collision Objects" box and on your Dynamics Controls? These things may help us understand yourproblem enough to help. mike

The frames per second doesn`t affect the cloth room stuff.

Only thing that I think I see is that in the list of steps to take, after item 4 and you parent the dress to the hips you should move the slider on the animation frames (the slider at the bottom of the Pose Room page) to about the middle frame (I use 15, if I have the number of frames set to 30 for example). THEN set the F202 pose. Now you need to return the slider to frame number 1 before progrssing to the cloth room. In other words the F404 and dress have to start the simulation at frame 1. By frame 15 they should be in the desired pose. Frames 15 to 30 allow the dress to settle. When the simulation is complete and you return to the pose room you can choose the "best" look by sliding through frames 15 to 30 to get the look you want. Let me know if this helps. Mike

Good catch Trav! I think it is actually step 5. Reading the steps that Alpha took, looks like the pose was applied at frame 1. I just checked my original response to him, and the step was, "Advance the animation frame counter to frame 30, then apply the pose you want to the F202 character." Alpha, Make sure you advance the animation counter to frame 15 or 30 before applying your pose, and your problems should go away. Good luck! Shogakusha
