In the Poser5 manual page 68 Applying A Shader
Step 1. Pose your figure with an upturned hand........

This is the first time posing anything has come up. I feel the process necessary to fulfill the request is a trifle vague.

Could anyone tell me how to turn her left hand properly?

I've looked around the manual and the pdf file. There seems to be a wealth of information on what can be done and precious little on how to do it.

In separate post, I'm will provide a summary of my views on the quality of a mere three pages of the manual.
