Hi I am new to poser - hope you can help. I have downloaded some great figures as Pz3 files, they are very easy to use. I have also got some figures that art cr2 and rsr files. I would like to be able to turn them inot pz3 files. That is a file that has everything in one tidy folder. (textures included) Trouble with the cr2 and rsr files is that I have to put them and thier textures into so many different files. Thank You and I love this site so much talent here. Spunky

Actually, A PZ3 does not have all the parts in one place. It links to the textures and obj files just like a CR2. You really need to place the various parts as they direct.

If you're trying to make a backup of a scene so it will open up intact even from a cd you will have to copy all the textures, bumps and transparencies used into a folder, I usually keep this on the desktop so it doesn't reference anything. Then open up the PZ3, remove ALL textures, bumps, trans maps etc and save in this same folder. Close Poser, reopen and open your PZ3 and apply the textures back on from that same folder your pz3 is saved in. Re-save and that's it. You can move this now anywhere without the nagging poser dialogue asking for this or that. Of course this method is useful only for textures. Props that reference geometry and figures will still need the right .obj's in your Geometries folder, but I found it does free up a lot of space if the libraries contain only the most basic necessary figures that you will use over and over again. I tend to save all individual characters this way to use whenever I need to. You can also take this pz3 into morph manager and delete any unwanted morphs too to make it smaller in size.

Mac or Windows? On Mac, get Poser Macinstaller (see link)---it will put the files where they go for you.
