Subject: please don't tell me I just wasted the last few hours...(Poser5)

I made some hair in Poser5 then saved the character. Other times, I have been able to toggle show populated after I had loaded my character...but now, I cannot. For some reason, I cannot edit the hair either. How can I fix this?
