Hi gang, I create several groups (about 4 or 5) for growing hair. I color each group separately which is long and tedious. Is there a way of combining all the groups into one and just color that group? Plutom

Two possibilities that I know of. 1) Color one group the way you want it, save it as a material to the Material library, and apply the material to the other groups; 2) Make a MAT pose from the color setting. The advantage of the second method is that you only require one single click to color the hair. The first method requires one library click and one selection per group. The disadvantage is that a MAT pose is a lot more work to set up, and that the MAT pose only works on hair with exactly the same group names as those in the MAT pose - it's less versatile. Hope this helps Steven.

Hi Steven, Thanks, now I know it can be done and by which methods. Been into Poser for 7 days now and haven't studied that yet-that's definitely on the top of my list now. Groan---Thanks Plutom

In that case, I'd definitely recommend the first method. Creating MAT poses for P5 materials is not for the faint of heart, it requires quite some knowledge of the pose file structure. Save that for later, when you're comfortable with using the standard features of Poser. Steven.

Thanks Steven---I'm beginning to think that there is a lot of material in Poser that is not for the faint of heart--sort of like an adventure game where you can't get there from here--groan. Plutom
