Hey, I love older women. Even married one. As for the Queen (Stand up, God bless her, sit down) it's a good job she's got a queeny job, 'cause I can't imagine her in FHM's top 50. Actually, don't want to imagine her in FHM's top 50. Now Fergie.....

Yeah the Canadian social net is quite a drag. After being diagnosed with Non-hogkins lymphoma, I'm now the victim of free medical care. And don't get me started on free education with University tuitions at about $4,000 bucks a year. You'd think a country with the 7th largest economy in the world and the 2nd largest land mass could do better than that. That being said, I do believe Canada to be the most under-achieving nation on the planet.

4000 bucks a year? i paid 10500 a year as a foreign student just for tuition and housing at York University, bando :(
bandolin posted Fri, 21 January 2005 at 1:23 PM
That's a foreign student. That tuition is up to $22,000 (not including housing) a year now. Canadian citizens pay much less. Here in Quebec, we have the lowest tuition fees in the country. They've been frozen since 1986. Ontario I believe is at around 7-8 Gs a year now. I had a basketball tournament at York back in '88. Nice campus.

york main's a concrete jungle. the original campus, over at glendon, is much much nicer :) but yeah, i guess you're right. and i shouldn't be talking since i had a full scholarship for 3/4 years i was there =D
bandolin posted Fri, 21 January 2005 at 2:00 PM
If you compare that to the University I went to, Concordia, its in the middle of downtown Montreal. The campus is a sidewalk. On the upside, it was very close to all the downtown strip joints ;-) (inside joke about Montreal, it has more strip joints than churches, and Montreal has alot of churches)
SCHOLARSHIPS! Canada has scholarships?

Official motto of Canada (or at least this Canadian when he was living and working in Texas) I am the great northern barbarian, here to seduce your women and subvert your culture! Got that on a T-shirt. (grin) Diplomacy, the fine art of saying Nice Doggie while searching for a big stick to whack it with! Bandolin, Montreal rocks!
