Terragen is a cool app. :) You would have to do compositioning to put your models into a Terragen scene.

I have to admit that Terragen landscapes and skies are superior to Bryce. But I do believe Terragen possesses a few short comings. Correct me if I'm wrong: i) No animation abilities (and I love to animate scenes) ii) No tree generator (or vegetation, I could be wrong about this) iii) Interface is cumbersome (so I'm told) I've never used Terragen, but I've been tempted.

I) Animations can be done (tho it be the hardest thing to grasp) II) No tree generator (yet) III) Actually the inferface is rather straight forward. Okee, it ain't bryce, but on its own it can do some spectacular things, the new teragen (to be released somewhere in this year, probably, maybe, don't hold your breath) is going to be a giant step forward.

you can export terrains from Terragen to Bryce with For Export Only (a plugin, should be available from Planetside). It does animations, as mentioned above. It's handy, and it's the 'hedgehog' of Rendering software (it has one trick...a good one..;) If I could import the waters, and the skies from it into Bryce, I would be a happy man..;)
