Dr. Geep, Thank you for your detailed reply and for the tutorials to a previous post I made. I can tell you put a lot of effort into the tutorials but I am still having a slow time with them. I'll keep plugging away. Can I impose a few more questions on you or anyone else who could chime in? I'm trying to do some martial arts scenes so I hope you don't mind assisting with content that's a bit violent. I am dedicated to martial arts (Judo) and I want to design some scenes in Poser. No moving animations, just stills. 1) I'm having a hard time with collisions. For instance, I want to design some martial arts scenes. How do I set the two fighting figures so that they won't overlap? Also, how do I set one figure to be hard, the other to be soft. For instance, what if I want to show one figure's stomach sinking in a bit as the other figure's fist strikes him. How do I set that? 2) Clothes. I can't get them right. Should I do all of my posing, then insert clothes? Or, attach clothes at a zero pose? How do I lock the clothes so that they move with the figure as I pose it? 3) If I morf a figure to where I like it, how do I save that figure in a run-time folder? For instance, I want to be able to pull my morphed figure right out of the run-time folder and into the pose room at the zero pose. Thanks!! Attman

Hi Tideskimmer,

  1. re: collisions - You must have collisions turned ON for BOTH objects that will collide AND for the scene.

  2. re: clothes - Hmmm, quite a few variables here but I would:
    a) zero the figure
    b) load the clothes
    c) conform the clothes to the figure
    d) pose the figure
    (note - you may get some 'poke-through' - sometimes this can be fixed by making the offending body part invisible (unless part of it needs to be visible in the render) - or - postwork the render to correct the flaw

3)re: saving a morphed figure -
Save the figure in the figures library with a new name - the morph will be saved with the figure

Note - When you load a new figure ...
If you are replacing a figure - the pose of the replaced (in the studio) figure is used.
If you are loading a new figure - the pose of the figure in the library will be used (when it was saved).
If you want a figure to load in the 'zero' position - zero the figure and then save it in the library.
When you load it, do not replace an existing figure or else the pose of the existing figure (and not the 'zero' pose) will be used. Load it as a new figure.
