Realistic spacesuits with helmets and accessories. Mercury, Gemini and Apollo style, plus 2001 and Alien styles. For V2, M2, V3 and M3. Mercury, Gemini and Apollo capsules. High quality, well detailed Fender Telecaster and Fender Strat. They must have modelled frets, not just a texture map. A Fender Precision Bass. Acoustic guitars which actually look like real acoustic guitars. Long curly hair - not dynamic, not Afro, not wavy, but curly and reallistic. A three quarter length leather coat. Not a duster or a trench coat, but a British style "Bad Guy" coat, as worn by the lads in "Lock, Stock and 2 Smoking Barrels". Realistic cars with the steering wheel on the correct side (the right). Japanese motorbikes. A Rolls-Royce. Any, but preferably a recent model. Well, that's my wishlist.

Something other than lingerie & slutty looking type items. IE...buildings/plants/animals/real life items. I think that leaves that range wide open :)

Anything BUT More lingere, Big Breasted Models, and skimpy clothing. surfeit v. To feed or supply to excess, satiety, or disgust. And I believe the marketplace has fulfilled all three.

RubiconDigital posted Sat, 22 January 2005 at 11:31 PM

"This sort of post isn't allowed in the Poser for you forum -- it belongs inthe product showcase forum or the developers forum." Huh? He was asking a question, not plugging anything. Seems fair to me, as not everyone who reads this forum necessarily visits the product showcase forum regularly, and the developer's forum is busy gathering dust.

dlk30341 posted Sat, 22 January 2005 at 11:40 PM

I have no idea why you would think this thread unacceptable......just some one looking for ideas...and since we all don't have access to merchant/developers forums..I'd like to speak my mind on what I want or OTOH sick n tired of seeing...that being bras/panties/slut type clothes..it's a drag IMHO.....I saw a recent item up for sale & nearly hurled at the price & exactly what was being offered.....I'll be quiet now.....don't want to offend said artist.

I agree -- wasn't complaining, just pointing out the rule. I've had a few moved for the same reason :) My inappropriate statement was a comment regarding an upcoming product of my own. If they don't visit the showcase forum regularly, then they should -- that's where contests and other very cool stuff are held about upcoming products. Market research -- which is what this is -- is not allowed herein -- that's all I was saying. As for me -- I agree with the 3/4 length coat -- that would be cool.

Well....if future/current merchants don't inquire on a regular basis as to the needs of the folks how are we to expect the store to improve??? I'm tired of wading thru endless pages of lingerie/slut type wares whether it be original objects or textures as well as the same texture being recylced over & over with just a different morph applied to the face/body.

Of course this is just IMHO ;)....

I've seen numerous posts asking what people would like to see in the marketplace. I fail to see how this is inappropriate if you are just asking for suggestions. If someone comes in and starts showing their new product in development, then yes that belongs in the product showcase forum.

ynsaen posted Sat, 22 January 2005 at 11:51 PM

Absolutely. I ask all the time what folks want, lol. I'm asking for feedback right now on a product, lol. I happen to think we should be allowed to post in here about it. But the rule isn't mine to make. That's why the showcase forum is supposed to be used for such things. There's also a wishing well, believe it or not!

I would love to see robotic battle armor a la the new Appleseed movie.

www.appleseedthemovie.com

If you look at one of the wallpapers, the armor is featured prominently in one.

Here's a link to someone else's attempt:

http://www.amapi.net/galerie/displayimage.php?pos=-28

Here are some links to some pictures:

http://zarbos.online.fr/landmate.htm

http://www.scs.wsu.edu/~pbourque/guges.htm

Obviously you'd have to change it some in order to not violate copyright laws, but robotic armor in this style would be awesome.

Also, some of those cars you did in Poser 5 format would be awesome. Since someone brough up the fact that they're copyright violations, all of the good car figures have been pulled from the RMP. If you could change the figures enough so they wouldn't be copyright violations, but keep the general super sportscar "feel" they have, that'd be awesome.

S.W.A.T. armor styled shoulder pads would be great. Like the shoulder/arm armor in this picture:

http://www.securityandsafetysupply.com/products-body-armor/tactical-body-armor-4.html

I'd also have to echo that we really don't need any more fantasy outfits or lingerie for V3. We could use sci-fi outfits for M3 (maybe for V3, but she has a bunch). Normal clothes for M3 would be great as well. Oh and for pete's sake please no more V3 character packs...

Well get busy Ynsaen...I'm waiting o.O LOL In all seriousness...if you ever get around to doing a department store..you have a purchaser here. I wouldn't think that texturizing for the rack/bins items of this nature would be that diffcult. A simple chrome/glass/wood mat would work. That said, the remainder of the items would be time consuming.....wish my modeling learning was progressing at a faster pace...for cripes sake it's taking me 2 weeks just to model a friggin tube in Shade & I still don't have right :(. Aw well, back to practicing.

hauksdottir posted Sun, 23 January 2005 at 7:45 PM

I'd love a decent centaur... but the base figures (horse and person) would have to be in proportion BEFORE anybody thinks about putting them together. If that milpony is going to carry half the weight of a human, it needs heavier legs and a rump with some meat on it. The classical Greek centaurs aren't wimpy. I'd also love some of the other fantasy critters... manticores, gryphons, rocs, satyrs, dryads... but well done. Most of the bestiary hasn't been touched yet. Royloo has tackled the horse skeleton (yay!) and I've dropped it on my wishlist. More skeletons are needed. A dog skeleton and cat skeleton would be great for Hallowe'en and useful anytime. A cow/bison/ox skeleton is archetypal for western scenes. All sorts of animals are needed: ferrets, badgers, otters, ermine/weasels, hedgehogs, groundhogs.... We have all these predators and nothing for them to eat. Fancily-dressed women with no pets. Marketers, but no marketing weasels. Authentic props. Carolly

True.

Poser people are the hollowed-out virtual containers of our fantasies. They can be what we wish that we were. Reflections of glory -- like we have never actually seen in real life. Or they can be extensions of our own bitterness. We can project whatever we like onto them.

On the other hand, they can also be electronic Barbies......with no particular meaning at all. Or perhaps just a way to help pay the rent.
