Anyone tried duplicating their system partition under windows XP ? I cloned mine onto a new disk with Norton Ghost 9.0 DiskCopy but am unable to boot from it . It hangs on the welcome screen without displaying the user login options . I've searched the web, and tried everything - disabling indexing/system restore; booting as master/slave and so on, without success . Could it be an issue with XP OEM/retail box (mine's OEM), path mapping, data corruption during cloning ... ? Ghost 9.0 installs with .Net framework 1.1 which introduced a a bunch of system processes that slowed down PC bootup . I'm beginning to regret taking this course of action as it also appears that XP's System Restore is as good as Ghost's Disk Imaging . And the DiskCopy doesn't seem to work . Heeelp, any ideas, anyone ?
