Wasn't sure about the presentation/framing... what do you think? As the shot is nothing special I tried to enhance it with a frame ;o) Gonna post an image to the gallery with a different framing later and add the link asap. But maybe that frame takes away the eyes from the image too much? Now which frame would be the best for this shot? If you like tell me your opinions, please. Hugz, Monika

IMO the first frame but with a black border inside the white to outline the image. The 2nd frame is very nice but for me is a little distracting. Not to say I am right just my opinion.

Hmm. I think you should increase the saturation of the grass or everything. That would probably do it. Then you won't need a frame. Otherwise I like the black line also. Bsteph

Agree with both LP and B. Put a thin (1 pixel) black border around the image (inside the white frame), but I'd also add an s-curve to get a bit more contrast in the image. It's looking a little flat. -=>Donald

Thanks for your suggestions. I really appreciate them a lot! Always good to know other opinions :o) @ bsteph2069... about the saturation... the shot itself had a high saturation but just to give the feel of that cold and foggy weather I decreased the saturation and and softened the colours :o) @ LostPatrol... you're right a small black frame would outline the image well... usually I do so... but this time I even added a bit Gaussian blur at the edges of the image to blend it with the white frame due to the theme "cold and grey day" I was up to. Probably it didn't work that well. :o) Thanks again! Monika

Just wanted to show you the shot right out of the cam... maybe this will explain why I have done the postwork to achieve the "cold, grey, foggy" feel of that day my cam didn't capture that well ;o) Hugz, Monika

As I will say in your comments (in a few seconds), I love the fourth one and I will save it and try to reproduce it for my one of next posts. Great work!

you & i know the framing/presentation can add a lot to an otherwise so-so image, always a thrill when a shot can stand on it's own, but then it's fun to play to make it more so... you got some great help here... & i do like doug's icy framing :]
