IMO the first frame but with a black border inside the white to outline the image. The 2nd frame is very nice but for me is a little distracting. Not to say I am right just my opinion.

Hmm. I think you should increase the saturation of the grass or everything. That would probably do it. Then you won't need a frame. Otherwise I like the black line also. Bsteph

Agree with both LP and B. Put a thin (1 pixel) black border around the image (inside the white frame), but I'd also add an s-curve to get a bit more contrast in the image. It's looking a little flat. -=>Donald

Thanks for your suggestions. I really appreciate them a lot! Always good to know other opinions :o) @ bsteph2069... about the saturation... the shot itself had a high saturation but just to give the feel of that cold and foggy weather I decreased the saturation and and softened the colours :o) @ LostPatrol... you're right a small black frame would outline the image well... usually I do so... but this time I even added a bit Gaussian blur at the edges of the image to blend it with the white frame due to the theme "cold and grey day" I was up to. Probably it didn't work that well. :o) Thanks again! Monika

As I will say in your comments (in a few seconds), I love the fourth one and I will save it and try to reproduce it for my one of next posts. Great work!

you & i know the framing/presentation can add a lot to an otherwise so-so image, always a thrill when a shot can stand on it's own, but then it's fun to play to make it more so... you got some great help here... & i do like doug's icy framing :]
