Anyone have a clue how to get out of you can't load old materials hell? My Cds for 4 Pro did not come with said "Conversion" utility, and I am stuck! I see lots of beautiful mats ya'll have made, but I get a message about needing to convert them first. I was kind of getting the impression that Pro was much less of an app due to its unstable behaviour on my G5 until the very last update. But I see from this forum a moderate amount of activity on the "Pro" subject, so I know at least some of you are pleased. That's kinda re-assuring as I love the app (its goal, at least). The thing I miss most from Bryce is the ability to so easily switch from scene-to- object-to-camera mode when edting object transforms for position, rotate, and scale. Surely this usage exists in Vue, but I cannot figure how to access it. Thanks in advance!

Strange that they removed the converter.. should have been on application CD under OldSceneConverter.exe.. So maybe you can download a VUE4 demo and do your translation work with it.. VUE4 reads the VUE3 materials..the demo should be fully functional. just an idea.. Sorry for last part of message : "scene-to-camera...etc" I dot not understand what the question is.. (I don't know Bryce.;)

Paul I think potamus is on Mac - and there simply is no converter available. Full stop. The reason for that is that Vue on Mac started only with version 4 and all that stuff i readable in 4 Pro. What i did was to install Vue 4 on a Windows box at work and did the conversion there simply. But strangely enough, i personally haven't needed it much. I would say 90% of the stuff i have (downloaded) worked directly in Vue 4. The switch between views. #1 there is an option in the top bar to switch between the 4-window-view and a full view of the camera image. #2 under display in the menu you find a sub-menu called maximise views where you can select which view you want to have full screen. If you want to be quick you are able to add some keyboard shortcuts in the preferences to the things you want to have. Unbeatable speedwise i would say!
