I'm afraid to go view the Gallery. I'm afraid to check out the Hot20. Drawbridgep's cruiser2 model is like six billion primitives all booleaned together without a texture based family group in sight and I need to adjust them. Drac's putting 'master' in front of peoples names. It cold outside and I cant smoke in the house. I have ten free gig on an 80 gig hard drive and everythings running slow. The project I'm rendering now is on pass three or so and looks like it might be done next week sometime. Making everything glass may not have been the brightest move I made. I'm wondering if pulling one of the 512Mb ram chips from this cpu and putting it into the dead cpu, then network rendering the picture would be faster, but it's about halfway done now. A company (DAZ) which has made all it's money by selling add-on products for a program (Poser), and has demonstrated a belief they profit comes from add-ons (see V3 & M3 now 100% off), has purchased Bryce (which was dead in the water). Yet every time someone asks here about interest in commercial products for Bryce, they get crucified. I had a conversation with one site administrator who won't be adding a Bryce section to their site thanks to our 'hospitality'. Bryce needs support that it won't get just because you love it, thats why it's still where its at. Valuable resources have been lost, and will continue to be lost because some people feel its better to yell and scream about ideas they don't like instead of just getting over it. SAMS3D posted a few threads ago that they have a work bench available for sale at their site (great bench by the way), no one said a thing. (course they post a free item a week, so they may no be the best example here, but it was recent.) Pumeco posts a picture complimenting drawbridgep on his model and gets jumped about PRO-RENDER (note the caps). Jocko500 has about 20 friends who vote for every picture he posts, so he's usually in the Hot20. Orbital has about 80 people who like his work and vote for his pictures. Daily now (it used to be weekly, did we lose the calendar?) Jocko's been attacked for being in the Hot20, but when Orbital has 5 pictures there (that's a quarter of the Hot20, 0.25 for those of you on the decimal system) he gets a "great job, way to go" thread started. I'm not comparing the artists or their art, just the response. AgentSmith and Zhann have both said that the Hot20 issue has been addressed and a new feature is coming soon, the issue has been getting addressed for sometime now, and still we can't just wait and see, must bitch now. My new born baby is being a new born baby so I'm typing this one handed, spellcheckers going to love this one. I have about $17 left over from the V3 refund vouchers and I've found something I want for $20, I've decided to wait until next month when I get the $5 PC voucher and get it then. (<--sign of maturity) I need to move the freebies I've downloaded to cd, but they're not organized now, so if I move them, I'll never find them again. The google event horizon n.
