Yipppppppppeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got my cast off today...4 days ahead of schedule!!!!! I was like a permanent fixture at my orthopedic doc's office, but finally I'm free as a bird!!!!! i had more x-rays done (ouchy!!!!), and he said my elbow is healing much faster than he anticipated!!! and he said i have much more range of motion than he thought i would!!! i still can't turn my left wrist inward very far, and i can't put my left hand to my mouth...no WAY can i move it even halfway up to my mouth. but he says i'm doing great!!!! I still can't hold my cam normally because i'm not supposed to lift more than one pound with left hand/arm. i tried to rest my cam on the top of my hand (palm down). it was comfortable, but a bit heavy. i better not push it. I'll be pushing it enough at work i'm sure!! my doc's even gonna let me get out of physical therapy, but i had to promise to do my exercises every hour. ouchie again!!!! but that's better than trying to find time for PT. oh man, you guys should have seen my arm. it was all red broken out. first thing i did was scratch for like 10 minutes straight!! felt so good!!!!!!!! i still have to wear my sling part of the day but that's cool. it's not itchy!! oh man, after i got home from work i was in the kitchen and i guess i "forgot" i had injured arm. i tried to move the arm upward and OMG i almost jumped through the roof the pain was so bad. anyway, i'm just happy to to have that cast off!!! now i can go out this weekend and shoot like a normal human being!! (well if you consider shooting with one arm "normal" LOL). i mess with tripod another day. anyway, thanks guys for all your support and wishes during this time. i know i've been a real sissy-girl. i mean it was just a broken elbow after all, but jeesh...it was hard time for me!!!!! better times are coming though!!! yippeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!

Back into the air as a free butty hovering from flower to flower! Yes!!! Great to be free again! And now building up a healthy elbow day after day! There you go, free to go! huggggzzzz

thanks guys!!! last night i exercised my arm so much...pushed myself hard... and now i can touch my nose!! I can reach my mouth!! I can salute!!! Yipppppeeeee! i will condition my arm and be back to normal in, uh....2 weeks...not 8 to 12!!!! Just you wait and see!!!! i will try to shoot with 2 arms tomorrow!!! squawk

YAY, so happy to hear it, so glad it didnt take so long with the cast on.

LOL, Cindy!!! Oh yeah...definitely it was making me batty!!!! I've improved sooooo much just today!!! My range of motion is really coming along!!! today i turn my left wrist palm up with only just a little pain!!!! And i can now reach the back of head with that arm too!!!!! For the first time since i broke my elbow I'll be able to style my hair!!!! Yipppppeeeee!!!!! thanks guys!!!!
