I received an interesting phone call from Curious Labs yesterday. Seems there are some cool things in the works. All they would tell me is that we would be the first to know and to get the info on Monday. They also promised screen shots and other cool information. I can't wait! I promise I'll share the scoop with everyone. Hope you all have a great weekend! Lillian

Uh-oh! The intrigue sets in! ;-) "Cool things in the works". I really do love cool things. Uncool things are just not cool. ;-) Now I expect to hear something cool when I wake up on Monday morning (aside from the usual "motivational speech" I give to myself in the mirror every day)! Don't let me down please. hehe. Have a good weekend! :-)

Who is Cube?
They made some excellent baby figures for Poser, with extensive Poser 5 support. And also a new dolphin.
Earlier, they had hinted at production of a new lion, wolf, and horse, but after the dolphin was released things became very quiet. Perhaps we'll find out why.

bug fixes would be good. Nothing irks me more in software is when the new release comes out with the bug fixes for the previous version and you have to fork out the upgrade price. Or, I suppose, nothing irks me more than when the bugs of the previous version aren't fixed at all :)

I'm just starting to get into P5...although I've had it since release day 1....but I stayed out of the cloth room pretty much until recently....
But if they could fix the render lock bug, that would be enough for me...I just had another one go down the toilet a bit ago...had to reset the system to clear it. and not only that, after the way P5 was released, I will be very hesitant to buy P6 for quite some time, if ever, unless its just too special to pass by...but not until the bugs are woorked out.

Personally, I hope it's just bug fixes...For cripes sake most merchants and users are still clinging to P4 & PPP. Not a whole lot of stuff for P5 specifically. Now, if they put out P6 and, if it's a whole different than P5,ackkkkkkk.
Myself I will upgrade once it becomes available providing I can still use my P4/PPP stuffage. At some point users/merchants have to move on. Imagine if we still had people making stuff for P1-3 o.O
I happen to like P5...once I got it I stopped using PPP.

No, no.....that's not it. That incorrect thread a couple of weeks ago about P6 being advertised for release in March....that incorrect thread was actually correct.
DAZ and Curious Labs are going to merge.
Renderosity and Poserpros are going to merge.
Curious Labs has purchased the rights to Bryce from DAZ.
DAZ has purchased the rights to Poser from Curious Labs.
Corel has bought both Curious Labs and DAZ.

No that only covers the more plausible theories, but doesn't really fit the definition of "cool things" does it? Releasing P6 in March would be fairly cool depending on what it has in it and whether or not it has all the bugs worked out (or at least the majority of them) the others are just corporate musical chairs for the benefit of the stockholders not the company or the products which isn't cool at all.

Yesterday's the past, tomorrow's the future, but today is a gift. That's why it's called the present.

I feel like someone just told me the score of the football game I recorded and was just getting ready to watch.

Oh boy, we get to play musical links. Save yourself some time. Curious Labs announced Poser 6 will arrive in the spring. You can sign up to get further details as they arise. Gee, just awhile ago someone shared an ad that said Poser 6 would arrive in March, and Curious Labs said that ad was premature.

Well according to my calender Spring lasts from March to June and that gives them a lot wider window to get everything done than just 1 month, so the earlier announcement might've been premature since they wanted to CYA better.

Well, if they wait until June 20 (summer begins on June 21), at least I can get a good birthday present! (22nd) 8-D

To quote myself: No, no.....that's not it. That incorrect thread a couple of weeks ago about P6 being advertised for release in March....that incorrect thread was actually correct. Even if it doesn't turn out to be exactly in March, it's close. Do I get a free copy of P6 for guessing correctly? BTW -- I was half-joking. Turned out that the serious half was right.........

But what if my guess of Aliens abducting Curious Labs programmers? or some other unforseen event that slows them down to delay the release will I get a free copy?
