I am still a novice with programs like Max or Lightwave, but I have a general question regarding the Hinge points/ rotation/ kinematics that I equate to a program like Poser: do these allow static "posing" of model points in the program, to be exported, or are these movement actions/constraints only applied to animations created by these programs? I have a character created that would be nice to pose, rather than re-construct each time I want a new scene, but I don't understand the conversion to a Poser character for use in that app. Thank you Paul

Once a model is rigged, you can then save that scene, load in the model and pose it however you like. This should apply to just about any app that allows a character to be rigged.

Thanks for the info. I'm just trying to sort out some of the terminology and how it applies to the various apps.
