Has anyone had a problem with the Joint Params., Scripts, and Walk Designer windows opening, whenever Poser is started? Not only that, but the graphics in the windows are garbled, and I can only close them from the menu. The "X" on each window doesn't work. I've even tried totally un-installing Poser, then re-installing. I thought this might have something to do with WinXP Pro SP2, but I can load/start Poser on a similar system just fine. Poser has been loaded on the problem system for quite awhile, and working fine, but I'm not sure what changes could cause such behavior. The only thing that I can remember changing is installing SP2, and maybe updating my ATI video driver. But how could this cause Poser to act so strangely?
If anyone has any suggestions, I'd be glad to listen.
Thanks

Thanks geep, but that didn't work. I have no idea what could be interfering with Poser's interface, and I'm not sure when it occurred. Unfortunately, I don't have as much time to work with Poser as I used to, so it's been months since I last used it. The only things that have changed would be MS patches. But I'm using the same patches directly from MS, that everyone else is. It's beyond me why I'm the the only one having this problem. perplexed!

We really should know which version of Poser you're using. Do you have the latest updates or Service Packs?

Poser 5 with the latest patches. Just to check to see if the patches caused the trouble, I installed Poser from scratch. It acts up even from the base install, even before I add the patch to remove the registration foobar.

Do you have a way to actually clean out the Poser stuff once it's been uninstalled? I use Norton's One-button checkup to remove old registery entries once something is uninstalled. I wouldn't use Poser 5 without the Service Packs. What I do is install Poser 5, and immediately install SR4 and the figure updater, then I reboot.

Thanks everyone for you help. I've decided to just reformat my HD, re-install WinXP, and go from there. Unfortunately, I've run out of time to investigate what actually caused this to happen in the first place. Thanks again!
