I designed two textures with transparency maps. In the render options menu, these objects have the settings 0% min transparency and 100% max transparency. It looks good and all, but when the object is blended with the another texture that has been transparencied as well (same color blends, but for a different object), the color darkens. Is there a way to ignore this? To prevent the mix of the two textures from causing a darker color. I tried a bunch of other options, nothing works. Unfortuantely, the only other way would be to curve the textures and trans maps to fit the object perfectly, so that one texture ends as the other one begins, but I'm trying to avoid that as my object is very obscure.

I'm not sure I understand what you're describing, but make sure the transparent parts of your map are True Black and the opaque areas are True White. Shades of gray will allow the transparent area to appear as a ghost and will not be invisible. -JH.

Try it with minimum 100, maximum 100 and see what you get.
