It seems to me that people who make firearm props for Poser are particularly prone to making separate material zones for every screw and widget, even when they all share the same texture. Anyone else noticed this? Not a big issue in Poser, but usually a nuisance when you want to export to another application for rendering.

Hadn't noticed, but it may be useful if you want to field-strip the thing and render the individual parts.

I can't bring any names to mind, but I'm sure I've seen some which do have a lot of material zones, though not at individual screw level. MAT pose files are your friend.

Hmm..Questor, maskdamask, those are 2 of the biggie suppliers of mayhem..;) Never noticed, to be honest, though I tend to make my own..and I don't texture anything unless it's visibly another texture..;) There was a 16 meg model once, a couple years back, wonder if that was one of them..;)
