Subject: Does anyone know where to get good tutorials for modeling?

I have been using poser for about three years now, but the art of modeling figures in programs like raydream, continues to evade me. PLEASE HELP ME!! I am trying to do some animated shorts, but I can't seem to build characters outside of stacking together morphed versions of primitives within poser. This works okay, but uses a hell of a lot of polys. Plus, I can't get things exactly as I want them. If anyone knows where to get comprehensive tutorials on the subject, or can custom model cheap or free, please hook me up. Thanks.

d'oh! too late!..the local's gonna have a fit with me..;) Yeah, Wings is a good start. Go to the Modeling forum here, under topic forums, and there's a few freebie programs there. Also try Blender, which takes some getting used to, but can do a lot of modeling. Silo's good, but not free (had to throw that in there..;)

I wish I'd said that.. The Staircase Wit
